Wouldn’t it be great if search engines, like google or bing, allowed us to upload our own pictures, graphics or photographs to find out where else on the internet they are posted? Now it is possible.
TinEye (www.TinEye.com) is a great tool for fine art photographers, artists and just about anyone who has their photographs posted online. TinEye is a reverse image search engine, which means that you can do a reverse search from a picture, graphic or a photograph.
All you have to do is simply go to the website, upload or paste the url of the file you are searching for and SURPRISE! TinEye will show you an online gallery with links to all the online locations where that same photograph has been used. And, they even have browser plugins to make your life easier.
Photographers and artists can upload their own images to track where they were posted or check if their photographs have been credited correctly. I use it a lot to find credits for images that I like.
Howdy! This is my first comment here so I just wanted to give a quick shout out and tell you I truly enjoy reading
your posts. Can you suggest any other blogs/websites/forums
that go over the same subjects? Thanks a ton!
